Tessa Barrows
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Pleasant Hill, CA

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist currently practicing in Pleasant Hill.

(Both online and in-person)

For the past 22 years, I have been deeply committed to my own journey of personal growth and transformation.  As a therapist, I believe my purpose is to support my clients with understanding their truth, their uniqueness in this world.

I enjoy helping my clients strengthen their intuitive abilities to trust what is true and “right” for them.  When we cultivate a more authentic connection with ourselves, we learn to love and accept ourselves more and our view of the world changes for the better!

  • It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it.

  • “Sometimes the only answer people are looking for when they ask for help is that they won’t have to go through it alone. I support the deep work of getting in touch with your emotions, facing your fears and empowering you to create fulfilling and lasting change.”

Working with Me Looks Like…

Solution-Focused

I can help you uncover inner strengths and practice skills to overcome life’s challenges. We will collaborate on goals that create a positive and hopeful outlook for the future in a non-judgmental space that empowers you to step into your full potential and create fulfilling relationships.

Compassion-driven

Creating safety is probably the most important intention in my practice because with trust and safety comes vulnerability which brings those big personal insights and emotional releases.  Both my physical space and the space I hold for my clients is deeply rooted in safety and compassion.

"When you can't control what's happening, challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what's happening. That's where your power is."
